pavel was a the highlight of our trip over here in august. we met him on the plane from paris to moscow, and our friendship has developed over the last months into something that we really treasure. pavel is a student in moscow and also works for a company here as a mining engineer, which requires that he travel to mines in northern siberia often. pavel is engaged to elle, who is also a gem, and we have gotten some great time to be together and get to know eachother better. pavel and elle both speak english, but they happily tolerate us practicing our russian on them, too! this picture was taken at lunch just today.
